Empowering a Greener Future

HICAP (Hemp Innovation & Cultivation Advancement Project) is Lebanon's national roadmap for sustainable hemp, transforming Law 178/2020 into real economic, environmental, and social value.

Official Designation

Hemp Innovation & Cultivation Advancement Project

Established under Law 178 of 2020 · Industrial Hemp, <0.2% THC

At HICAP, we intertwine sustainability with innovation, crafting a hemp ecosystem that transforms lives and restores nature.

Mission

To connect policy, research, and capacity building to unlock economic growth, create jobs, and restore the environment through Lebanon's emerging hemp industry.

Vision

A Lebanon where industrial hemp contributes to rural development, sustainable materials, environmental regeneration, job creation, and regional innovation.

What We Do

01

Strategic Advisory

HICAP provides expert guidance to governments, institutions, and investors on shaping Lebanon's hemp future. Our advisory services focus on turning Law 178/2020 into a real economic and environmental opportunity. We design strategies that unlock $125M+ annual market potential, create thousands of jobs, and position Lebanon as a competitive regional leader in hemp innovation.

02

Research & Development

Innovation is at the core of HICAP. Through pilot projects, controlled seed trials, and partnerships with research institutions, we explore the most impactful applications of hemp. From hempcrete for construction and textiles for industry to wellness solutions and bioplastics, our R&D work builds the foundation for Lebanon's green economy.

03

Capacity Building

HICAP invests in people as much as in projects. We empower farmers, engineers, and communities with the knowledge and skills needed to join Lebanon's hemp transformation. Our programs include farmer training, educational workshops, and eco-tourism activities at the Chouf Biosphere Campus.
